Get Involved

Employees, retirees, friends and family members are welcome at Hallmark-sponsored volunteer programs.  Wild Saturday at the Zoo, Day of Action, Study Buddies, Christmas in October and CMH Holiday Decorating involve over 1,000 employees, retirees, friends and family members.

Volunteering comes with big benefits, here are a few:
Make a difference in someone’s life – Pack BackSnacks, donate to the food drive, mentor students at Longfellow, wrap holiday packages for kids, train for Ready When the Time Comes, decorate Children’s Mercy for the holidays.
Gain leadership skills – Join a nonprofit board, lead a volunteer project, lend your professional expertise to a nonprofit.
Improve your health – Donate blood, tend Crown Garden, walk for Komen, move mulch at Wild Saturday, paint a house with Christmas in October, sort food or pack BackSnacks at Harvesters.
Network with other professionals and leaders – Participate in Young Leaders Society, Women’s Leadership Council or Tocqueville Society through United Way.
Have more fun  – Join a volunteer team; research shows volunteers are more satisfied, more engaged and more productive.
