Following retirement, Rick has resumed drawing after a 35 year hiatus. He enjoys creating artwork of local sports figures, landscapes and other subjects of interest using charcoal and pastels.

What inspires you to create?

I’m a huge Chiefs and Royals fan and enjoy drawing some of our KC sports stars. I’m also inspired by places I’ve visited.

What advice would you give to people looking to express their creativity?

Just do it!
