I’ve always had creative interests: painting, baking, knitting, sewing – but jewelry making has been my favorite for the last 6 years. I love working with clay, wood, brass, and acrylic (and mixing materials in unique ways). I’m currently enjoying a lot of time at home with my husband, our dogs, and all my art supplies.

What inspires you to create?

A lot of my inspiration comes from fashion. Unique fashion on Instagram or around town inspires me to make earrings to match. I also really love to color match – when a color stands out I will mix clays until I can recreate it.

What advice would you give to people looking to express their creativity?

Try to block time to explore your creativity. Take a class if you’re unsure how you want to express your creativity! There are local classes for everything from candle making and painting to baking and jewelry making.

How does your art connect with people?

A lot of my customers buy my items as gifts. I love the thought that my KC earrings are gifted as a keepsake of a fun trip to the city, or my birth month flower jewelry is gifted to new moms in the month their child was born. I hope that people where my pieces and feel connected with special people and memories.
