About

Kevin Horvath is the founder and creator of Lettering World, an online resource and personal collection of graphic design, hand lettering & typographic design, lettering training, and an all-things-lettering on-line store. He published and co-created Excellence in Lettering & Typography, a collection of work from the leading lettering artists and type designers in the industry from across the nation. He was also a design class instructor, hand lettering instructor and runs a Letterpress Studio. While his 36 years at Hallmark, he was Lettering Design Manager, Head of Font Development & Training, Innovation Studio Manager, and Art Director/ Manager of Corporate & Trade Development Design.

What inspires you to create?

Viewing anything creative. Like fashion design, ceramic and 3-D art exhibits, concerts, Cirque Du Soleil type shows, home design, and vintage car redesign.

What advice would you give to people looking to express their creativity?

Get a mentor who is in the business to give you guidance and direction.

How does your art connect with people?

Much of my work is combined with typography or hand lettering solutions that helps make the total package stronger and more impactful.
