My creative happy place is in the imagination space – I paint, MAKE, and create using different tools, following very few rules and definitely painting outside the lines. With my Illustration background, visual storytelling is where I give voice to color filled still-lifes and dreamy landscapes. I definitely play with color, get messy with paint and share my love of pattern and shapes. All of this comes to life through an eclectic range of eye candy: prints, small paintings, collages, and lots of giftables. Check out my little slice of optimism at my Hallmarket booth!

What inspires you to create?

I have a very vivid imagination and never have a lack of ideas. If anything it’s hard to choose! I keep sketchbook & my favorite pencil handy in my car, by my bed for night-time ideas or in the backpack on hikes…it goes everywhere I go.

What advice would you give to people looking to express their creativity?

Go for it! There are no limits on creativity except that you enjoy and make. Put that mark down on the paper and just get started.

How does your art connect with people?

I belong (and i use that word lightly because we have no rules) to an Art Club where we get together monthly to just create – no rules, no deadlines, no critique. The purpose is to inspire ourselves, each other and explore the pure joy of imaginative play and sometimes eat a lot of snacks. We have heavy & lite art conversations and debate, get to hear all about our individual struggles and gains as well as have this great unity of purpose around Art, can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday.
