Hi! I am from Tokyo, Japan. I have been working for Hallmark for 16 years. Recently I started to learn the ceramics and loving it.

What inspires you to create?

I think anything around me. I love, love animals included reptiles. So they inspires me. But also, insects and flowers. Colors and textures. I love going to the museums and the galleries. Those creators energy gives me inspiration.

What advice would you give to people looking to express their creativity?

Pick subject you are interested (flowers or animals or anything) and pick the tools. Can be pens and paper or camera or clay. And just try. If you like it, keep creating.

How does your art connect with people?

I love to get inspired by other people’s art. And, when I find somebody likes my stuff, it makes me so happy.
I have been taking ceramic classes and love creating something with other people in classes. A lot of time, creation is a lonely work but I found out it doesn’t have to be.
