About

I believe in the value of something handmade, and in the feeling it invokes. As an artist, seeing the results of the journey and experimentation to create a piece of jewelry is satisfying. I’m a new enamellist… fusing glass onto metal, utilizing a torch-fired method with non-leaded ground enamel. The special effects of layering, firing, and testing methods create one-of-a-kind pieces. I also love using copper-etching, copper patina and wire-wrapping techniques to make bracelets, earrings, rings, and necklaces… perhaps I’m more of a mechanic and a chemist.

What inspires you to create?

I’m inspired by the colors of the earth. I’m inspired by the knowledge gained with the adventure of experimentation, and the ultimate result.

What advice would you give to people looking to express their creativity?

It’s never too late to try something that could bring you joy. While I always loved crafts starting at a young age, I didn’t really consider myself as artistic. Knowing that artistry comes in many shapes, sizes and fashions — who should put a limit on creativity? And why should we put a limit on ourselves?

How does your art connect with people?

I hope that my designs, colors and style convey a feeling of contentment in the beauty of symmetry and of abstract… I personally love both.
