My design and illustration work is focused on supporting biodiversity, specifically native plants and pollinators of North America. My research on biodiversity began during my M.F.A. program at Kansas State University. PolleNative, my large-scale installation piece exhibited at K-State as well as the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center in Kansas City. Along with my husband Paul, I founded Leaf & Sky LLC in 2020, creating artisan goods that support native bees, butterflies, birds & bats.

What inspires you to create?

Nature is ultimately inspiring.

What advice would you give to people looking to express their creativity?

Just do it! Everyone is creative!

How does your art connect with people?

The focus of my art is to encourage people to connect with the ecosystems within their reach by adding native plants to their neighborhood and developing new practices which support pollinators -native bees, butterflies, birds & bats.
