Our Hallmark Live! series is back. Step into our world of inspiration and insight at the Hallmark Visitors Center on the second Friday of each month from 10:30 AM to Noon. This vibrant exchange allows our visitors to engage with wonderfully talented Hallmark artists and writers in person as they share their creative passion and the technical artistry behind their skillful craft.

Since 1973, Crown Center has hosted the Mayor’s Christmas Tree, with commemorative ornaments sold to support the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund. Learn about the tree’s history and Oregon origins from Tina Luckett, and get a peek at the creative process behind this year’s vintage-inspired ornament, designed by third generation Hallmark artist Sheyda Best.

Melvina Young, Hallmark Master Writer, is a creative who has written cards, children’s books, gift books, blogs, social media posts, and even a commercial! With over 19 years at Hallmark, she is an ambassador for both the Hallmark and Mahogany brands. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, on CNN.com, the Grio, the Emmy Award winning daytime talk show “The Real”, and elsewhere. Melvina loves writing and researching about relationships and connecting with and caring for one another. Come learn more about empathy, creating, and connecting with Melvina.
