Hallmark and Kid President Team Up to Make Going Back to School More Awesome

KANSAS CITY, MO (July 22, 2016) - With his message of positivity, creativity and joy, Kid President brings the awesome with him wherever he goes. And now, as part of a brand new partnership, he's bringing that awesomeness to Hallmark Gold Crown stores just in time for back to school.

Kid President, the creation of co-creators Brad Montague and Robby Novak, is featured in a popular web series featured on SoulPancake's YouTube channel with a mission to make grown-ups less boring and to recognize that each of us has the ability to make the world more awesome. Hallmark is supporting the mission with new back to school products featuring Kid President and his messages of awesomeness.

"Hallmark firmly believes in Kid President's efforts to encourage kids to be themselves and be awesome to others," said Kelly Reichman, Hallmark .director of global content licensing "This back to school season we're all working together to help make that happen with products that inspire, delight and give us something to aspire to and believe in."

"We've always attempted to create videos people could treat like gifts they share with their friends to encourage and inspire," Montague said. "Creating a line of Kid President merchandise with Hallmark enables us to continue that mission, but with things you can actually hold in your hands."

Kid President and his ‘be more awesome' message, will appear on cards, stationery, calendars, mugs and t-shirts. His likeness will also appear as a Hallmark itty bittys®, the lovable and popular plush collectible characters.

"I am so excited about Kid President cards and gifts that people can give to each other to make the world more awesome!" Novak said.

The products retail for $1.99 - $17.95 and will be available exclusively at Hallmark Gold Crown stores beginning July 18, just in time for kids and parents as they prepare to go back to school.

"Back to school time is often full of excitement and anticipation, but also sometimes a trickle of fear," says Reichman. "Together Kid President and Hallmark want to help make kids feel awesome about themselves, their world and the possibilities that lie before them."
