KANSAS CITY, Mo. (February 5, 2018) — Hallmark is helping people celebrate the love in their lives this Valentine’s Day with new selections of intricately designed Signature cards, featuring handcrafted embellishments and unique craftsmanship. The collection features approximately 70 Valentine’s Day cards, the largest selection of Signature cards for the holiday ever.
“At Hallmark, we understand that a Valentine is not just a card – it’s a piece of your heart, a page out of your relationship story, a nod to your history together, and a hope for your future,” said Lindsey Roy, chief marketing officer – Hallmark Greetings. “Our designers create Hallmark Signature cards with tremendous attention to one-of-a-kind details and dimension. When you give a Signature card, it is truly a keepsake for your loved one.”
Hallmark Signature Valentine’s Day cards feature fresh, sophisticated designs paired with warm, genuine messages, as well as new and expanded Signature kids cards. The cards are handcrafted and designed with beautiful papers, rich textures and just-right flourishes like gems, foil, fabrics and more.
This Valentine’s Day, Hallmark is continuing a bright and energetic national marketing campaign showcasing the special craftsmanship found only in Signature cards and the way relationships are enriched through spreading love with a card. Superstar Michael Bublé’s rendition of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” provides an upbeat soundtrack for Hallmark’s Valentine’s Day television spot. The TV commercial is now viewable on Hallmark’s YouTube channel. Other marketing tactics this holiday season include a partnership with Taye Diggs, a content integration with Entertainment Tonight, social/online video, interactive digital ads, and radio ads, including a first time partnership with ESPN Radio’s Golic and Wingo.
“We want to inspire everyone to share love this Valentine’s Day by taking a moment to tell someone special how you feel,” said Roy. “Whether you’re recognizing a significant other, friend, child or parent, Hallmark Signature cards are the perfect way to celebrate and reflect the beauty of your relationship and the little things that make it so special.”
With an estimated 144 million Valentine’s Day cards exchanged industry-wide, Valentine’s Day is the second-largest holiday for giving greeting cards.
