Hallmark Signature Cards Help People Connect This Holiday Season
Hallmark asks: Who made your life extraordinary in 2016?
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 14, 2016) — As the holidays draw closer and the year wraps up, Hallmark poses questions to remind people to pause and take time to connect with loved ones:
Think about who made your life extraordinary... Who surprised you? Who loved you? Who made life better?
"No matter what's going on in the world, the basic things we all care about remain very similar – we care for the people in our lives and for their health and happiness," said John George, Hallmark vice president of marketing. "There's no better time than the holidays to tell those special people how you feel, and Hallmark Signature cards are just the way to do that. Because there are no ordinary people, these are no ordinary cards."
Hallmark's "No Ordinary Cards" holiday TV commercial features real-life video footage of moments that occurred this past year. Clips show a dad finding out he will be a grandfather, a little girl welcoming her daddy home from military service, a couple doing a choreographed wedding dance, and more.
"We wanted to capture those realistic moments that mean so much to people," said George. "It's a true honor for Hallmark to be part of the ways that people connect with each other and to provide extraordinary cards to help people share their love."
Hallmark Signature holiday cards feature fresh, sophisticated designs paired with warm, genuine messages. The cards are handcrafted and designed with beautiful papers, rich textures and just-right flourishes like gems, foil, fabrics and more.
"From laser-cut paper to stitching to glitter and sequins, you can see, touch and feel the creativity and craftsmanship of a Hallmark Signature card. These are cards that will stand out from other holiday cards on the mantel, desk or wherever you display them," said Darren Abbott, Hallmark vice president of creative. "But more importantly, our cards help you tell the people you love how you feel."
Hallmark partnered with creative agency Rokkan to continue the "No Ordinary Cards" campaign theme that started at Mother's Day 2016. Beginning this month, campaign elements will appear on television, digital, radio and social channels running through Christmas.
