Hallmark Declares Winners in “Graduation Celebration” Greeting Card Contest

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 5, 2012) - Time for caps, gowns, and a little pomp and circumstance! Hallmark today announces the winners in its recent card-creation contest, "Graduation Celebration." Greeting card hopefuls were invited to use a photo or illustration and their original writing to create a sweet, serious, or make-‘em-smile card celebrating any graduate.
Contestants submitted their creations in September. The 12 winning designs will be sold on Hallmark.com starting in November. In-store winners will be announced in March 2013 and will be featured in Walmart and Hallmark Gold Crown® stores in April 2013. Winners each receive $250 and could win an additional $250 if their cards are chosen for in-store sales.
Hallmark judges looked for cards with illustrations or photography and writing that worked well together and could be sent to all types of graduates. Participants could enter a total of three different cards. Entrants were encouraged to check out the Hallmark Contest Facebook page for tips on this contest.
This is Hallmark's 37th consumer-created card contest. The 12 winners are from 10 different U.S. states and one is from New Zealand. Here are the winners in Hallmark's "Graduation Celebration" competition:

Also this week, Hallmark announces the opening of the latest competition - "Once Upon a Bead..." Consumers will design a jewelry bead and tell us what their design means to them. A Hallmark artist will refine the winning design so it's ready to be made into fine jewelry, and the winner will come to Hallmark Headquarters to meet the artist!
