Arts & Culture
Vibrant arts and cultural experiences enrich the lives of all a community’s citizens. Hallmark supports performing and cultural arts organizations in the cities and towns where our employees live and work, through financial contributions and audience-building programs that help sustain the organizations and also provide work opportunities for local actors, dancers, artists and musicians.
Examples of Hallmark’s support of arts and culture in the communities it calls home:
- Six of the top 10 recipients of Hallmark Corporate Foundation grants are Kansas City-area cultural institutions: Kansas City Symphony, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City Ballet, Lyric Opera of Kansas City and Kansas City Art Institute.
- Employees and retirees attending locally produced theater, symphony and dance performances get an assist from Hallmark through a “50/50” program that shares the ticket cost. It’s a benefit employees love, and so do arts organizations who appreciate the audience-building the program encourages.
- Hallmark is leading a new initiative to bring the area’s major arts organizations together, working collaboratively to retain current audiences and attract new ones. This “Fab Arts Collab” meets monthly and benefits from Hallmark in-kind services, like database analysis from our research group and creative and marketing support.
